An Attingham Trust report, edited by Giles Waterfield |
This report on education in historic buildings and sites was first published in June 2004. It is now available here as a fully searchable and updated website. Opening Doors surveys education and interpretation in historic buildings and sites today, in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland. The 80,000-word report is the result of three years' research and consultation with a wide range of organisations and individuals involved in heritage education. It includes places of worship, archaeological sites, industrial archaeology, country houses and historic towns. It contains detailed case studies of some of the most interesting current work and makes a series of recommendations.
